Float Sixty will host its last customers at their Schererville location on 12/31/24, just shy of their eight year anniversary. Owner Gloria Morris founded the brand and opened her original concept in Chicago’s River North neighborhood ten years ago and quickly scaled to four locations.
“Our Schererville location was our second and smallest location at just 1980 square feet. Since opening in 2018, we have facilitated close to 42,000 cryotherapy and float therapy appointments with close to 14,000 unique customers. We are sad to make this announcement but it is the right time for change.”
“We have already moved our whole body and local cryotherapy wellness services to our brand new Crown Point based HERO+ Recovery Studio (location inside the Great Lakes Sports Hub) as it is much larger space. We offer contrast therapies with Infrared Sauna, Cold Plunge and Red Light therapy as well as a full suite of Hyperice compression treatments. Physical therapist Dr. Ian Hardy of Proven Performance and clinical massage therapist Vince Romans from New Start Massage are resident tenants there so it makes great business sense to move. Floatation tanks will still be available at Float Sixty Chicago and Float Sixty Chesterton locations but we will be sure to honor existing credit holders and members appointments in Schererville through our transition period. We are thrilled that since the announcement on November 1, we have had members transfer to other locations and our Crown Point location is now serving our Float Sixty Schererville customers.”
